The 4 Friesians

Okay, here are the "boys" from an August wedding of friends. They are all decked out (people included :-)) in their finest although Qwintus is a tad sunburned. The carriage is a French Brake. My Husband, Carter, is on the far side driving, on the near side is a friend Richard Dudman.

I had driven past the pasture this morning with my camera, they are all a muddy mess! Couldn't show my inspiration for the Friesian portraits covered in mud!

The Spirit of Christmas!

"What greater gift than the love of a cat?" ~ Charles Dickens.
Above is the photo of one of our cats, "Little Thing". She is 7 years old and had a hard start in life, but is now much loved by myself and my husband.
I hope this Holiday season brings you an abundance of peace, love and joy. Many thanks again for taking the time to visit my blog, and much love to friends old and new! You are all greatly appreciated!
Tomorrow as Christmas Day dawns, I'll be heading out early to feed my old feral cat at my work and then hopefully meet my friend and walk in the local park. Then home and wait for my husband to be through feeding the horses and on to our presents!

ACEO White Raven Watercolor on EBay

Relisted for another go around on eBay. Maybe one of the several watchers from last time will buy it this time!

This ACEO (2.5" x 3.5") is an original Watercolor Painting of a rare WHITE RAVEN against the starlit night sky. It has been painted on 140 lb. acid-free watercolor paper.

Titled "White Raven #28 ~ The Flight"

White appears to be the new black among the RAVENS in B.C. Canada. A family of WHITE RAVENS are making a sensation on Vancouver Island . They are not albino, the color change is caused by an inherited gene.
Legend has it that all RAVENS were white in the beginning but their mischievous ways resulted in the change to black, not really a punishment because their iridescent blue black feathers are indeed beautiful to behold!

If you are interested, please read about it here: please cut and paste the link.http://www.canada.com/theprovince/story.html?id=aeeb81cb-3e94-44b7-91e3-aa9d1ce56c27

Much thanks to fellow RAVEN group leader flirty-girls for the above information! It is greatly appreciated as is her beautiful raku art tiles and face jugs! Check out her art work!

New Watercolor Cat Art Bookmarks on EBay!

Three more watercolor and ink art bookmarks for eBay! This time CATS! I always enjoy doing cats, would love to be able to do more portraits, especially of my own cats.

The first one is an orange-eyed long-haired black cat with quite an attitude I believe!

The second bookmark is of a beautiful blue-eyed Ragdoll. Such sweet natured cats!
The third cat is a Calico with orange/yellow eyes. I've always loved the calico color and seem to do a lot of them!

New Watercolor Art Bookmarks on EBay!

It's been a while since I have listed horse bookmarks on eBay. Most of them go to Etsy, but I decided to give eBay another try since it's the Holiday season! All three are watercolor and ink, laminated for protection and a tassel.

The first one is of a Bay CobTail Hackney Pony. They are always so sharp looking!

The second bookmark is of an Arabian. I don't do a lot of them so 2 in as many months is a lot for me!

The third one is of a piebald (black and white) Gypsy Vanner Horse. I think these are neat horses with an interesting history.

ARTFAN ~ Artists for Animals & New Listing

This is the logo for ARTFAN for the cat auctions. We also have one for dogs. The cat in the logo is "Little Guy". I have been feeding him for close to 7 years at my workplace. He waits patiently for me everyday and I or my friend feed him 365 days a year. Animals don't understand "days off", "illness" or "holidays".

I feel very strongly about giving what I can to those things that have no words. Artists for Animals is a small group with just a few of us who regularly do charity auctions. Presently I have two running.
The image on the top is an ARTFAN Charity auction with 100% going to "Best Friends Animal Society in Utah"

Original ACEO Watercolor & Ink ~ "Black Cat #11 - Sir Moonlight". Photo reference is from a group member from one of my cat groups who volunteered some photos of her cats for me to use.
One day I will figure out how to post photos in the middle of text! My next thing to learn!!

Charlie ~ The Ultimate Cat

This is our cat Charlie, we got her in 1995. She is 17 years old although she acts like a young kitten racing through the house, playing with toys and her friends. Look up CAT in the dictionary and you will see a photo of Charlie! She is what a cat should be!

Jeckle ~ April 1994 to May 2007

Forgot to add Jeckle's photo in last post.

A little more about me and mine....this is Heckle. She is 14 years old and we have had her since she was 7 weeks old. Her sister Jeckle died in 2007 from sudden onset kidney disease. My husband and I have had cats our entire married life, no children, just cats :-)

I've trained and shown horses all my life since a small child and would still be doing so but but bi-lateral knee replacement in 1998. My husband still trains horses although has switched from American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Roadster Ponys & Horses, Harness/Hackney Ponies to Friesians. We love them. Wonderful attitudes. It's hard not to be around horses everyday, but at least I am able to draw and paint them!

Giving this a try!

One of my latest listings on eBay. Called "The Two Totems", it is an acrylic ACEO-2.5" x 3.5".
Making a jump into the world of blogging. Might be having to ask many friends for help :-)

For those of you who don't know, I sell as Carpiss on eBay and Etsy. Mainly working in acrylics, watercolors and charcoal. Lately have done a large number of bookmarks, ACEO's and an occasional 4" x 6". I love small format art!
