Oh No! Grackles!

Ugghhh! The Grackles are back! The Boat-tail Grackles terrorize the songbirds and hog the feeders. Let's hope they head on to their territory in Florida real soon....
Actually they are a very striking bird and may show up on my canvas here one day.

I hear ya, they are beautiful bullies, those birds. A painting would be neat, and pretty unusual, too. :-)

They are so pretty - but truly bullie pigs with wings - lol. I do love your bird pictures Gail. I'm hoping to set up some feeders in the back yard this year!!

I'm definitely going to paint some, after my taxes get done :-(

They will only be here a week. The Starlings and Red-winged Blackbirds, Cowbirds are another thing, they will be here the summer and truly do create havoc.

I don't think I have ever seen these birds before. They have such a beautiful shine on the feather and look very intelligent like ravens.

Grackles are found in the Gulf States in the spring and summer. They migrate through here on their way South. They are very intelligent and beautiful.
